you may not even know you're breaking them. You can be killed by other players, righteously, for breaking these rules. There are a ton of people that roleplay mean and grumpy as well. you can almost count on an angry mob coming after you because you did something wrong that you had absolutely no idea of. The old testament of the Bible doesn't have as many rules as they do. There is literally a rule for every concept of the game. I am absolutely disgusted by how they run things and have seen it first hand. However, what happens is you just get elite groups that get all the attention. This means they can spawn more monsters, take control of them and IDEALLY make the content more fun for everyone. You see, the devs can act as GMS, like in a normal D&D session. They have a right to do it how they want, but why on earth you would have a multiplayer game and not hear the feedback of your players. and is just blatantly disregarded or even removed. They very much have an idea that they want and that is how it will be.
Look, they do not give a flying rats arse about you. I honestly can't even focus on the good of it.
The IDEA of the community and the world is great, the execution of it, however. It is drastically better than the base game. It is by far, sadly, the closest thing I have EVER SEEN to D&D done on a computer. Ravenloft offers a very cool and welcoming mix of action and roleplay. if you don't feel like reading my whole rant. I spent over 700 hours on this server and have come to the conclusion that I would like to write a review. Remember to add keywords if your query is a specific one. So many interesting characters! Then there was a DM quest where a pack of werewolves attacked the city outskirts, and the town guard got tore to pieces! Then a group of PC’s went out and found their cave and hunted them down! I couldn’t do much only being at level two. Just the opening sequence before you arrive in the camp was so cool! And get everything up and going, but once I made my character and logged in, it was AMAZING.
